Guidelines:

Bookings and Registration. The ‘Holiday Organiser’ will be required to provide names and nationality of all persons in the group over 16 years of age.

For all who are not British, Irish or Commonwealth guests, the passport number and place of issue, (or other document which shows their identity and nationality), should be available. And, before departure, details of next destination (including address, if known) must be given and recorded.

Cancellations and ‘No-shows’ The following cancellation procedure is provided for the information of potential guests before a booking is made and accepted:

‘A Deposit of £100.00 will be required for the holiday booking to be confirmed. The complete Balance should be paid no later than four to five weeks prior to the agreed commencement date of the holiday’.

‘All guests should make themselves aware of the description of the holiday cottage on the website cannockchaseholidaycottages.co.uk so that they understand that there are restrictions with reference to smoking, pets, fires, ground levels and other matters. In the event of a cancellation, which must be made in writing, the deposit will be non-refundable. A cancellation made for serious health reasons, supported with genuine documentation, will be treated sympathetically. Potential guests should realise that, the closer to the holiday date a cancellation is made, the greater the difficulty in finding replacement guests. If replacement guests can be found then a proportion of the Balance payment will be returned’.

Site Information.The site lies at the centre of the Cannock Chase Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with natural changes in ground level, unevenness and rough sand and gravel tracks predominating amongst the characteristic heathland and forest scenery. On site, where necessary, steps and minor-bricked slopes have been created to assist visitors in accessing all areas. However, care should be taken at all times, particularly with the younger and the less mobile members of the group.

In particular, care should be taken behind the Holiday Cottage, on the 'Foxglove Walk' and behind the garaging.

Fire Safety. The property complies with Building Regulations and has been inspected by a Fire Officer. Mindful that the Kitchen area is the centre of cooking, washing and the use of other electrical apparatus, ( all of which comply with up-to-date regulations), a Fire Extinguisher and Fire Blanket have been fitted to the brick pillar in case of emergency.

The fire door to the passage should be kept closed and the passage must be kept clear.

In the Event of a Fire. Guests should exit immediately. The ‘Holiday Organiser’ must check that all group members are present.

Fire Safety Outdoors.

Fire is an ever present danger on Cannock Chase. Please take all steps to ensure that the natural environment is protected in all ways.

Particularly, 1. Conform to the “no-smoking” regulations.

2. Do not create outdoor fires other than at the provided Barbecue site.

3. Accept that, in extreme circumstances of fire danger on Cannock Chase, BBQ fires are not allowed.
